Best days/times to visit:
Our calendar at UWC Costa Rica largely resembles the Northern Hemisphere calendar running from August til December and January to May. Our protected time for Future Pathways and University Counseling is currently on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 until 6 PM. Outside of this time, we are unable to have students meet with university representatives. To sign up for visits, please contact us directly as we use an internal calendar.

Special Holidays/Off Days:
Our holidays correspond directly to CR holidays. The only two weeks that may be more unique are an October Recharge Week and our Community Action Week in February.
Special Considerations:
As you know, our international student population is unique. We believe (and hope you think as well!) that all of our students would be incredible assets to your community. On top of the variety of other demographics that reflect their diversity, over 80% of our students currently receive significant scholarships (with 35% on full scholarship) in order to be able to attend UWC. With this in mind, we plan to prioritize universities that have a partnership with UWC or provide significant aid to make the amazing education they provide feasible for our students. Given that we only host two visits per week and only roughly 70 per year, we would highly encourage groups of colleges to visit together. Individual sign ups are entirely acceptable, but please know that we may end up combining visits in order to ensure as much access as possible.

How Much Material To Bring:
On our campus, one of our main 5 strategic lines centers on sustainability. As you think about what materials you might bring with you, we encourage the use of QR codes for generic information, especially that is easily found on the website. If you do have any particularly special programs or financial aid information, those pamphlets are the most helpful. If you choose to bring things such as stickers, water bottles, phone chargers, and other useful items that help promote your brand, those will be more interesting for students than a list of majors they could find online. If you do bring material with you, please consider 30 max.
